The CDA Institute is currently hiring Research Assistants for Fall internships.
This is a paid position.
Requirements:
- Candidates must be enrolled in a graduate-level university program, or be a recent graduate
- Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills;
- Extensive knowledge of contemporary security and defence issues;
- Must have the ability to show initiative and to handle many tasks simultaneously in a dynamic work environment with speed, accuracy, and a positive attitude;
- Number of hours will be negotiated with the candidates (Minimum: 3 business days a week);
- Placements are usually 3-4 months with the possibility of extension. Start time: Late September
- Experience with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop is an asset;

- It is possible to work remotely. Preference will be given to Ottawa-based appliacants.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Provide research and programming support;
- Write, edit, and prepare reports and briefs;
- Monitor the news and governmental initiatives related to Canadian security;
- Provide assistance with peer review and proof-reading.
- Assistance with the organization of events (roundtables, workshops, conferences, etc.)
