In December 2025, the CDA Institute hosted a Force Development roundtable on The Strategic and Operational Role of Autonomous Systems. The event brought together experts from government, the CAF, industry, and academia to discuss the strategic necessity of autonomous mass, agile procurement, and the critical role of dual-use technology.
The event was held under the Chatham House Rule. This report is a product of the most salient findings and aims to inform the national discussion on the importance of and challenges associated with autonomous systems capabilities.
