Young Professionals

The CDA Institute’s Young Professionals Programme provides individuals 30 and under with career building opportunities to support their professional endeavours. Our goal is to support and nurture new ideas, voices, and perspectives in Canadian security and defence.

The CDA Institute’s Mentorship Programme strategically matches young professionals (individuals 30 and under) to mentors — individuals who are well established in their careers within the defence and security sector.

Our Research Assistant positions on staff are paid 3 to 6 month postings that provide opportunities for young professionals to expose themselves to a career in national security and defence that matches their academic and personal interests. As a Research Assistant you will get a chance to work side by side with accomplished professionals across our network, gain industry insight, build your professional network, master hard and soft skills, and improve your resume before you enter the workforce.
