Simulation & Training Forum 2026

We are pleased to announce that the CDA Institute is a supporting sponsor of Vanguard’s upcoming Simulation & Training Forum 2026. The event will take place on April 28 at the National Arts Centre in Ottawa.

What is the Simulation & Training Forum?

Canada has made significant recapitalization investments in the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) over the last few years. This seismic shift requires the CAF change how they conduct the profession of defence and security to support the warfighter. Preparation is needed to transition to be ready for the new platforms and systems that are coming. There is a need to reimagine new ways of supporting the warfighter. Industry can share valuable insights.

The Simulation & Training Forum provides a platform for DND, CAF, government, industry and academia to discuss advancing modeling, simulation and virtual training to prepare warfighter readiness for future challenges.

Why should you attend?

The Canadian synthetic military simulation and training market is forecasted to reach approximately USD 15 billion in the near future. This growth is driven by increased defence spending, a focus on modernizing the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF), and the high demand for cost-effective, realistic training environments.

Key Industry Drivers and Trends:

    • Increased Defense Budgets

    • Technological Integration

    • Government Initiatives

    • Industry Collaboration

    • Cost-Effectiveness and Safety

Overall, the Canadian defence simulation and training market is considered to be in a strong growth phase, supported by significant government investment and continuous technological innovation.
