In the inaugural volume of Voices of the CDA, Sgt (ret’d) Wendy Jocko and Dan Doran examine how the Canadian Armed Forces can move beyond policy compliance to pursue meaningful reconciliation with Indigenous Peoples. They argue that Indigenous traditions of service, stewardship, and warrior responsibility offer genuine wisdom for the CAF’s ongoing cultural transformation, and that a closer partnership with Indigenous communities could help the institution better articulate its identity and rebuild trust with Canadian society.
